Texas Rangers in France

The French Texas Ranger - Richard Eye
Oeil My name is Richard, I live in France, in the province of Alpes de Haute in the town of Malijai. I am a former paratrooper, and I was also blue helmet for two years in the former Yugoslavia. I was wounded in 1995 during my last stay there, as part of a multinational battalion. I left the army in 1999 and since then I have the industrial designer (design houses). I'm not part of a group of re-enactors, but I am friends with many groups, including one of the Second U.S. Cavalry will present the Texas Rangers to the public during the festival of country music. The festival brings together collectors of vintage cars, horse owners, students of American Indians, and fans of the old West. When I was young, I saw a program on Texas, which made me become a fan. I wanted to live in Texas, but I was too small. After I read the book "Texas" by James A. Michener, where he also speaks of a young Texas Ranger. I wanted to learn more about the Texas Rangers. I began to study them and this developed in me a passion for these extraordinary men! Today each group of re-enactors of the Old West in France, there is at least a Texas Rangers, but we are still a few! Come and join!
