E 'entered the world of comics in 1980, working on Doctor Who Weekly and 2000 AD. These were soon followed by the series Marvelman superhero (published in America as Miracleman), and V for Vendetta, which won him the Eagle Award for best writer in 1982 and 1983. Later wrote Swamp Ting series that won numerous other awards. In 1987 Moore won the award for Kirby Watchmen.

started drawing comics in 1973. He worked very hard to 2000 AD, on the Harlem Heroes series, Dan Dare and Rogue Trooper. In 1982, Gibbons began working for DC Comics, Green Lantern on stories. In 1987 he won a special prize along with Alan Moore Jack Kirby, as the best example of collaboration between writer and artist, just for Watchmen. He has worked with Stan Lee to the source "alternative" Green Lantern. Gibbons works and lives in England with his family.
